My husband is an awesome chef, lucky me! We often plan our menus a few meals at a time and lately that has included making a big pot of soup on the weekends to savor throughout the week. We enjoy having a warm and easy mini-meal that can be ready in a jiff. Today I was trying to think of something different as we had just been through the gamut of our favorite standby stews.

“How about minestrone?” I suggested, “but without pasta, because I don’t want the gluten or the carbs.”

The more I thought about it, I had just had a very acidic tomato based meal for the last couple of days so I didn’t want it to be too heavy with tomatoes and I am not a fan of much salt either. I totally sounded like Meg Ryan’s character placing her dining order in the movie When Harry Met Sally. My husband rolling his eyes at my predictable food sensitivity based cravings is nonetheless a good sport and he went on to list other peculiarities that I would like too. We laughed and all the while I could see and taste the outcome of Marla’s Minestrone.

We continued on with our walk and quickly let the food discussion go. Our focus shifted to the rest of the tasks on the to-do list so that we could then focus on the fun part, our date day activities. We were just returning home when my friend arrived. She was carrying a lovely basket filled with an array of goodies fresh from her garden and drum roll please…a big container of minestrone soup that her mom had just made. At the risk of repeating myself, she enthusiastically elaborated on the details… how it was made with lentils and beans instead of pasta, little salt and it was indeed light on the tomatoes. Magical Manifesting 101 I thought as I was beaming with the excitement of a kid at Christmas.

Manifesting minestrone or manifesting a million, the process is the same. The difference is we are probably a little more attached to outcome of a million than the minestrone and therefore we hold more of a charge on whether it will happen or not and form attachments to the consequences. I have learned through experience time and again whether it was manifesting David Cassidy (more on this later) or a free trip to Maui, how it behooves us to remember that creating clear intentions and moving into a state of neutrality sprinkled with a little childlike sense of trust and playfulness actually allows the desires to be drawn to us more efficiently.
